How costly could this miss be from Scott Dann?
With Crystal Palace looking for their first points and first goal of the season at Burnley on Sunday, the defender headed wide from just a couple of yards out in the 89th minute.
Burnley were leading 1-0 at the time and closed out the victory to leave Palace rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and increase the pressure on manager Frank De Boer.
Palace had 23 shots in the game compared to four from Burnley, and De Boer said: “Everybody in this room can’t believe that we didn’t score.
“As a manager you cannot expect more. But football is about making goals at the end, if you don’t make goals you have maybe one point if they don’t score but we have to reward ourselves [for the chances created] and we didn’t do that today.”
